After we checked into our Bed and Breakfast, Dexter and I went on the most amazing bike ride through Monterey. Check out this incredible sunset. Beautiful!!!
Jaq went shopping with Daddy for my birthday and bought me flowers. When I expressed my excitement Jaq said, "They were only 9.99" I was quick to inform him that it's not polite to tell the price when giving someone a gift. It was funny anyway.
Jaq is my little reader which is great but can be funny at times too. Nanny took Jaq shopping and was trying to buy healthy foods...of course since Jaq can read all the labels, he was quick to point out that one certain item contained 35% less sugar. My mom got a chuckle out of that one.
When I was explaining to Aubrey that my friend had to go to the doctor, she was totally confused and simply replied, "But mommy, mommies don't go to the doctor , they are too big."
Jaq - I leanded in to give Jaq a hug one morning and this is what he said, "Oh mommy, you smell like Rasberries." That totally melted my heart!!!
Jaq - "Please is a magical word Daddy. If you say it you can get anything you want."
Jaq - "How does Santa's Elves make toothbrushes? I know... Santa probably has a contract with the toothbrush manufacturing company."
Jaq had his first school crush. He came home from school and told me he met a new friend. He said, "She has yellow hair and she is the prettiest girl in school and her name is
Elizabeth.
I was completely mortified after Jaq let out a rip roaring burp in public. In my feeble effort to teach him manners, I began the no burping in public lecture. My lecture didn't last long because he simply replied in all sincerety and seriousness..."But Mom, my body needs to burp and toot so I can get rid of all my nasty bodily functions." How could I argue that explanation?
